Glacier Eye Clinic has grown to a comprehensive eye care center with six Ophthalmologists and five Optometrists, a full-service Optical, and an Ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center. Landmark Dates In Our Near 50 Year History
1976
Steve Weber opens Weber Eye Clinic in downtown Kalispell.
1979
Weber Eye Clinic moves to the Medical Arts building.
1991
Roger Barth joins practice adding glaucoma subspecialty care.
1995
Weber Eye Clinic merges with Dr. Hi Gibson’s Kalispell Eye Clinic, forming Glacier Eye Clinic and the practice moves to the Two Medicine Building.
2001
Hi Gibson retires and Mark Remington joins practice, adding subspecialty Oculoplastics care.
2008
Aaron Alme joins practice bringing Retina care to the Flathead Valley.
2013
Steve Weber retires and Gus Stein joins practice, continuing subspecialty Pediatric and Strabismus care.
2014
Glacier Eye Clinic moves to new office at 175 Timberwolf Parkway.
2019
Tyler Ofstad joins practice, expanding our Retina care.
2021
Mark Goerlitz-Jessen joins practice adding Cornea care, as well as Refractive Surgery.
2022
Glacier Ambulatory Surgery Center opens.
Specialized Eye Care In Montana
Glacier Eye Clinic now provides nearly all subspecialty eye care. With each new doctor and office move, the goal has been to serve the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana with the best eye care possible.
Our staff also includes an excellent dedicated Optometry staff, now numbering five, providing comprehensive eye care, contact lens care, surgical comanagement, and emergency screening.
Glacier Eye Clinic has provided Outreach Clinics in Polson and Libby, and provided cataract surgery locally in those communities for over 20 years. Our latest outreach is to Columbia Falls with an Optometric Clinic at the Cedar Palace.
Serving Kalispell and our surrounding communities has been and always will be a special privilege. We will continue to strive to provide the highest level of medical care in a thoughtful and personal way. Thank you for being a part of our story!
